well, ill start! my two favorite combos are as follows:
1: raven raptor with dual pile bunkers, the rev raptor booster, and either two armor bosting items (highest armor grade i can buy) and an ultra z, or instead of the z put in a high grade omega plug to balance out the speed drop from the armor.
2: blade liger ks, with the boster- looking weapons removed (cant remember the name right now) and an msl pod c attached. give it a booster, then throw on three high grade omega plugs (or however many ultra z's you have) and you have a close range beast. and for the big guys you can blast away with the missles!

it is really good. i wish i could get my hands on VS III, but its not in english... id really like to see four player combat, and the flight that some zoids can use looks amazing! but sadly, i dont have it. =(

This is easily one of my favorite games of all time.
I am definitely a close-range fighter. The best Zoid I have used is Liger Zero X equipped with thrusters and beta plugs (Boost 4 SPD a piece without sacrificing any Turning Ability).
I am also a big fan of Cannon Tortoise, actually. For long-range battles there's no beating the little turtle's firepower.
A Zoid I use non-traditionally is Snipe Master. I actually rarely use it for long-range. I mostly use it for mid/close-range.

do you use the strike tonfas on it? i always thought it was a bit slow, but from my opinions, i guess its logical to think of me as your normal hit-and-run type of guy. lol.
i honestly have started using a dibison alot lately. its so slow its not funny, but geeze is it a tank!
i also like that on the gojulas giga, you can equip two sets of missle pod c's and use them simultainusly.

I have the strike tonfas equipped but I typically just use the combat attack. For mid-range, I use the weapon binder (I think. It's been a while since I played it last, so I don't quite recall.).
I actually thought the Snipe Master was rather quick. Maybe not when comparing to another Zoid of the same size, but when working around a larger opponent (Like the 2 Elephanders in Mission Mode), it's really quick in close-quarters.

I use the Psycho Genosaurer (obviously) with the standard setup plus some enhancement parts and a booster because that thing is slow like a Cannon Tortoise (no offense to the little turtles though).
